Survival rates for some types of cancer, including breast and colon cancer, have improved dramatically over the last 40 years but there has been a lack of investment in others according to Macmillan Cancer Support. Lung, brain and pancreatic cancers have so far shown hardly any improvement, and patchy progress in some areas meant there was still a survival lottery. Talk about cancer, raise funds for research, keep it in the public arena, push for improved legislation to make treatment equitable for all.
