Cygnets

I went back to look for the swan family today. I found them round by the lock gate. The parents were pacing up and down or whatever you do on water,  waiting for the lock gates to open so they could go through to the river. After I had taken my photos and done my shopping the family were back along the canal where I saw them yesterday . I don’t know if they had been on the river to see their friends or not. I’ve seen the adult swans waiting to be let through before but it seemed a bit ambitious to attempt to take all the children too. 
Anyway there were seven yesterday and there are still seven today so I hope they all survive.
