Shady border
It’s the only photo I took all day - the shady border under the weeping birch in the garden. I’m gradually getting some plants that seem to thrive under there - spring is good as there’s more light without the leaves in the birch, so the border is mostly full of spring flowers. Summer colour is a bit more problematic and I haven’t really solved that yet - it gets so dry under the tree in the summer, as well as dark.
Walked down to the poll station after work to cast my vote. We only had one candidate bother to knock on the door, so they’ve got my vote (they would’ve had it anyway but that’s the first time a politician has knocked on my door - I live in such a huge Tory majority seat that the opposition candidates thought there was no point probably).
[Edit: I didn’t manage to overturn that majority but it was definitely closer this time]
