Corridor of Power

I visited Old Parliament House in Canberra today. The building was opened in 1927 and was the home of the Australian Parliament for the following 60 years. Since 1987 it has been converted into a Museum of Australian Democracy. I was a volunteer guide here for 10 years, and know and love the old building.

One of the present exhibitions displays political cartoons. An example is in the extra. It's so rewarding to wander the exhibition listening to visitors laugh, gasp and groan at the insights of the cartoonists.
