On vacation

Retirement can be quite exhausting if you are the kind of people who do a lot of volunteering. So a little holiday away from home is refreshing from time to time.
Here we are walking a short section of the Welsh Coastal Path north of Harlech. In the background you can see the famous Italianate village of Portmeirion.
Yesterdays tiny chicks were Canada Geese goslings. The first to get it right was Miss Winterfinch from New York’s Catskill Mountains closely followed by V987. Several other blippers got it right. Congratulations to all of you.
Late extra. This afternoon we went to Harlech Castle .
Built in 1282 by King Edward 1. One of many great fortresses he built in North Wales to establish his authority.
