One more day till the weekend.....

Oat Chocolate Chip Cookies.
Been a very tiring day; sometimes I don't sleep very well and these last few days have been particularly poor in the zzzzz department; fingers crossed for a few hours tonight!
Still got to walk the dogs though and walk we did; in the rain, wind, sleet and watery sunshine. The dogs enjoyed themselves anyway and have had a very relaxing afternoon drying themselves on everyone's beds; just not their own!
The first week back at school seems to have been extra long and tiring for the boys so the cookies were a welcome sight when they got home. At least tomorrow's Friday and then it's the weekend; yippee!

Recipe
Cream 4oz butter with 4oz caster sugar and 3 1/2 oz light brown sugar. Add one egg and 1/2 tsp vanilla essence and beat until light and fluffy. Beat in 4oz plain flour, 1/2 tsp bicarb of soda and 1/4 tsp baking powder. Stir in 3 oz rolled oats and 6 oz choc chips. Drop spoonfuls on greased baking trays quite well spaced. bake for 15 mins at 180.
