Spring bulbs

We had a wander on the pier late this afternoon and it was a whirlwind of life...there was a wedding party strolling around on the pier looking quite surreal in their hats and silky dresses, accompanied by young man in suits with trousers skimming their ankles and no socks (no socks?!!  ...why???). 

At the end of the pier there is now a small children's fairground  with mini rides, bumper cars, roller coasters. I'm sure it wasn't there the last time we looked... I was rather taken with these lights on the 'caterpillar' ride. There was an elegance about them which didn't really match the madness of the caterpillar. It just seemed appropriate for Silly Saturday...although the suit trousers skimming the ankles was a close second!
