Status Quo - Korea Day 4

The absolute highlight of our trip to South Korea was the visit to Panmunjom and the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). Panmunjom is the village that was established on the ceasefire line at the end of the Korean War in 1953. In the photo you can see the blue UN buildings where discussions between the two sides take place. The demarcation line runs in the middle of the buildings. The soldiers with their backs to my camera are South Korean under the UN. The grey building is on the North Korean side.
