Hummingbird Saga Continues

I thought I would never see them again. Three days ago the first baby left, and yesterday the nest was empty. Today I went back just to check on the empty nest. Glancing down, there sat the littlest baby on a branch well below the nest. I took pictures and watched for a long time, when all of a sudden the mama appeared, settled on the branch, and started to feed. Apparently the baby needs more strength to fly and it looks like the mama is taking care of it! Today I am so grateful for, perhaps, my last look at this sweet little miracle of nature.
