Watching Dad
At Minterne House today, we watched a whole pile of bows and arrows action. It was fascinating to see the range of these "sport bows" and we chatted for a while to an archer who presents the history of bows and the arrows that were used for different purposes, one who had "war bows" in his stash.
The gardens were a delight to stroll through, not too crowded, but as colourful as a colourful thing on a colourful day, feeling particularly colourful.
Extras: the arrow flies (tricky to spot in the second shot); Kate Adie presents the prize; a patriotic boater; and come colour.
