twelve years aloft
The loft has been this empty a couple of times it was first left empty after we first moved in to get it treated for fungal moistness, but it's more often been full of crap than not. Apart from a couple of bits of rolls of carpet underlay, a couple of spare bits of carpet, a quite large amount left on the roll of the netting used to fasten the insulation between the rafters, some insulation and a few spare bathroom tiles, the only things remaining to be removed and taken with us are a few useful bits of wood, a box of bits for the Bike Station and some plastic shelving units which are quite bulky but currently empty. We got the keys to the garage of the new house today when the previous owner's children were round cutting their hedge, so have popped a couple of carloads of things into it, just to ease the workload on actual moving-day. We'd initially just asked to pop a few things in whilst they were there, but with the keys it might be possible to pop over and construct a few of the sets of shelves, all the better to put things directly onto on moving-day itself.
