Morning Tide
After yesterday's exertions a chill-out day was required. So, we started with a 3-mile walk from Porthleven to Helston via the Penrose estate and a nice morning it was too. We called in to say hello and reminisce a little with my (favourite) aunty; some special moments shared. We then collected the car having been left outside a friend's overnight, a taxi being the preferred mode after a few beverages yesterday.
After a light lunch we played some snooker in my old club then headed to Mounts Bay for an hour of that well-deserved chill, overlooking St Michaels Mount.
As planned we went to get our evening meal at the Newlyn Meadery but, due to staff shortages, they were only serving take-aways. Luckily, the Waterside Meadery in Penzance was open and fitted us in for an excellent meal accompanied by top-class service, together with a pudding in a box - too full to eat there and then!
Finally, back to the cottage so that Andy can watch the Miami F1.
Phew, what a great day. Extras too from Marazion, Penzance Harbour and Porthleven beach.
