Smelly trainers?

We had our annual ice rink ladies committee lunch today in a local hotel. As we were going in I spotted this. I did wonder if the owner put them there willingly or was under instruction from their roommate.

Lunch was excellent and everyone in the restaurant wore appropriate footwear :-)
