Derelict Sunday

I think we need a new bird table! (We also need to tackle some of the weeds round about it.)

I didn't have to go far for today's DS blip, which was convenient as I wanted to make some progress with gardening while the lovely weather lasts: it was nice and sunny but with a gentle breeze so that it wasn't too hot. For the last 2 summers, during lockdowns, the garden has been a bit neglected (even more than usual!) as we spent a lot of time catching up with DIY maintenance on the house. So after having raked the lawn a couple of weeks ago, today I spent the morning spiking it and applying lawn dressing; this afternoon I attacked some more of the triffid-like brambles in one of the borders while the lawn sprinkler was watering in the lawn feed.

(You may notice that the lawn is peppered with patches where it grows much better than elsewhere - thanks to mulitple visits from our Granddog!)
