Beetling Off

The lesser whitethroat is back and has been calling all day. So far I've failed to see or capture it. :(

My main image is a click beetle taking off. The larvae of these are wireworms which live in the soil and can damage the roots of potatoes and other crops.

So nice to see damselflies on the wing. I've added one to extras resting on some lovely fresh oak leaves.
