Greyfriars

This evening we attended a concert that was scheduled for May 2020. In the Heriot Watt choir we were rehearsing Rutter's Requiem when the pandemic hit and suddenly we were all in lockdown.
Although singing was resumed a few weeks ago we decided that there were still risks in a choir drawn from so many people with different background and declined to continue in the choir, so it was with mixed feelings we listened to the familiar music performed so well.

The concert began with the orchestra performing Mendelssohn's Hebrides Overture (Fingal's Cave) followed by Mozart's Symphony No. 39, so a good evening's entertainment.
