This is how it would be used if it were a Greek chapel floor as opposed to Rochester cathedral, and actually, I like this one very best of all. Definitely worth thinking about for a one-day kitchen floor.

I had a rummage in my bag of ribbons, offcuts left over from this & that, and I was suddenly transported back to this baptism, and that one, and it felt like I'd just been stabbed.
The shock of it! I could barely breathe.
The wounds of losing my community run so deep I wonder if they can ever heal.
I found a piece of ribbon that would perform the role required of it without causing any further pain and put the rest away.

I believe that I have successfully recovered 26GB of data I feared I had lost, which has saved me a couple of hundred quid. Just one corrupt file on my master back-up disk is all it appears to have been, and I have been able to retrieve the broken file from the internet even though it was all my own work.

Sleep patterns are realigning to correct circadian rhythms and I have been on a Google wander round the tiny lanes of a small French village until they became too narrow for the street-view camera to transport me any further. I now know that groceries are 3km to the east and that if I am brave enough to drive 15km I can visit Carcassonne by train. The Paris Metro is looking a lot less terrifying now that I've downloaded the lovely new map.
