Ullswater

I spent the day doing various jobs at home including sanding and treating mum and dad’s old garden bench with oil. It was positively hot in the garden.
Then, sometime after 5, the experiment commenced and my friend and her husband called. My bike was added to theirs on the back of their car and we went to the old swim spot where we dropped off our bags before heading back to Pooley to park. We then cycled back and had our swim. It was a gorgeous evening and really lovely to be back and have it to ourselves. Well, the cuckoo was also there welcoming us back

We reckon this is doable on nice summer evenings after work and then, if the weather isn’t so good, we’ll just stick to the dark side.
