Penmon Point
This is the job I want to have. Going to the coast, rockpooling, finding crabs and watching swallows in the sun.
We went with an A-level group to Penmon point to do 'rocky coasts', which involves looking at the succession from the point of low tide to the grassy bank. On the way back we went to Cwn Idwal, and was interesting to get the biology perspective after I got the geography run-down the other day. Amazingly windy in the mountains - had a good laugh a a coach load of school children getting blown about in the wind as the looked at the lake, resulting in upside-down children and sheets escaping into the abyss. We went to join in the fun, and got a blast that was strong enough to take you off your feet if you weren't expecting it. Luckily you could see the squall as it came across the lake, and could brace yourself for the gale-force spray.
Sunny forecast for the weekend!
