A party and a run in the long grass

Yesterday was grandson's 10th birthday, the adults all met up for coffee and pastries to celebrate - the kids had had an outing with friends the day before. The youngest one threw a strop which we all ignored and life was good in the sunshine. Afterwards l went for a walk with DiL No. 2 and Stella the dog in the Lee Valley, the countryside is positively bucolic at the moment.
