Sunday lunch

Helen and Nix roast one of the capons (that I took out of the freezer last night). Accompanied by roast potatoes (Arran Victory) and a mixed green stir fry.

We gather as a community at four to eat it in their garden, and bask in the sun. The chicken is tender and succulent. Wonderful.

Then Nick and I head for Glasgow for the delayed Karine Polwart and Dave Milligan gig. Jim S joins us, as the lights dim. It’s a good concert, with an Irish trad trio for warmup.
