Grey Mares Waterfall
Thanks for all the stars and hearts recently; really appreciated!
I'm really glad we did the steam train run yesterday when the weather was good because today was dreadful. It has rained hard all day, with no respite. We decided to go for a drive and did a circuit of Loch Leven, stopping off at the far end for a walk up to Grey Mares Waterfall. It's not a long walk, only about 400 metres each way, but as we hadn't brought waterproof trousers we got soaked from the thighs downwards. A great view though, so worth it. We carried on down to the Glencoe Visitor Centre for a coffee and look round (and to dry off a bit) which was interesting; we'll see more of Glencoe tomorrow. A bit more sightseeing driving but it really wasn't worth getting out of the car to get soaked again so by mid afternoon we headed back to the B&B. No sign of the rain easing off so we've got a bottle of wine and a picnic to have in the room tonight and we'll watch another of the owner's DVDs.
