Gotcha!!!

A first for me, so it has to be my blip - who cares that it's not technically perfect! I've been fortunate enough to capture lots of kingfishers on perches in recent years, and a handful of in flight shots, too - but this is my first shot of a kingfisher emerging from the water with a fish in his beak. I was thrilled that I captured it at all! Naturally, best seen large.

I met up with dear friends for a while this morning and then went for a wander and a sit by the river. Today is a poignant anniversary for me, so I like to spend time doing things I enjoy doing and sitting by the river was the perfect place to reminisce.
