Boarding

We left home at around just after 10am and, via Clapham to the Wightlink Lymington Ferry Terminal. It was a lovely day on the train but I was not feeling great and hadn’t been able to eat any breakfast. PY ate some lunch in the cafe bar at the port before we boarded the ferry to Yarmouth. The crossing was smooth and the views lovely but I could not partake in the celebratory Pimms that PY was consuming.

The crossing got us into Yarmouth by about 2:40pm and we took a bus to our accommodation at The Bay Colwell. It’s only a short walk from the bus stop but dragging a bag on wheels across the grass was not the greatest idea. Still, everything made it in one piece and we collected our keys from reception.

We have a little chalet with a hot tub in the back garden and we will be making plenty of use of that over the next few days. PY went to buy some food and we went for a walk to the seafront but, by the time Ant and Dec came on the TV, I was heading to bed having not eaten anything all day. Not a great start to the holiday.
