Coil Pots

I had my 2nd Pottery Class today. I absolutely love it. My confidence needs a bit of building but I'm sure I'll get there.

We were shown how to make a pot with the coiling method (building it up with sausages!). There was a bit of a mix up with the tutor not giving us enough information at 1st but then our regular tutor came and helped us out. I wanted to make a straight pot and it was going well until we were told it needed to be a rounded pot ready for a Raku firing!! So quick adaptation required!!!

Here they all are drying in the sunshine so we could start to trim them.

I have brought a pot home to do a bit of homework!!!
