Ankerwycke Yew

This was on our parish walk around Wraysbury. The tree is said to be 1400 -2500 years old. It is just a large tree from a short distance, but under the canopy this amazing trunk is revealed.  In 2002 it was designated one of fifty Great British Trees by The Tree Council.
