Wild Garlic

The bluebells are at their peak now and I also spotted this Wild Garlic.

Back home after the Lake District with road chaos around the town - closed major roads due to accidents and planned or emergency road works. Someone on twitter  described it as “the day the earth stood still”. The trains are still running but for commuters the frequency of trains has never returned to pre-Covid timetables.

Our neighbours still have a house covered in scaffolding with tales of wrong tiles being delivered twice and contractors missing for days. The weather messes up the schedule as well as they need good windows of dry days for rendering.

Then they dropped one of the correct tiles through our garage roof!
(They have fixed it and cleaned up)

We have gas engineer (tomorrow) to fix our gas fire. A pre holiday attempt failed as the wrong part had been ordered. Fingers crossed.

I have also manged to arrange a plumber to fix a leaking toilet which we spotted and isolated before leaving. That’s Thursday which is also my rearranged Dental check up… teeth no worse than they were but of course something will happen before I get there!

Ocado are due to a grocery delivery tomorrow. They have been amazing with no substitutions on orders in the last few months.

Mow the lawn ?    NO, It’s no mow May.
