A day of home birth midwifery rebalance and nourishment at the Solas Mbride centre in Kildare, dedicated to St Brigit, patron saint of midwifery in Ireland.
Amongst other things we were treated to a sound bath, a drumming meditation , a blessing and lots of delicious healthy food.
We have a potted young oak tree that now symbolically holds many of our darker thoughts or struggles, which will be planted somewhere suitable. Good job an oak is so strong , I think a lot went in to the pot!
We all brought an object close to our midwifery heart and shared its importance to us individually. Naimh bought this tiny piece of art and I liked the bitter sweet story that came with it .
