Dead Wood

I took decided to try and take some photos today of a rather magnificant tree which lost a huge branch ... well more of a trunk really ... during the high winds last night. The tree must be hundreds of years old. The results weren't as great as I would have liked because the tree was too far away for my lens. Any way, I saw this piece of dead wood which was much closer and rather liked it. The magnificiant tree is in the background ...
