Red dwarf

I've been living in this bungalow for a year now, so this was the last plant to identify. It appears to be a dwarf or Alpine rhododendron, or is it an azalea? Quite surprising. There is another rhododendron but I saw that last year, whereas this was hidden beneath a huge bush - a viburnum - which I had removed. There is still a giant photinia there which I don't like.
