Chaotic Moss

Is moss flora? I suppose it must be. I've certainly got lots of it on my lawn these days. This is growing on an old parasol base. I quite liked it as a Tiny Tuesday mono.

I had a uncharacteristically successful time at camera club yesterday evening. Not the raffle this time but photographically. Definitely my favourite judge of all time as he liked all my submissions. I had a commended in the first half, and I thought that would be it. It usually is. Then in the second half I got a third place, then a second and ..... then a first, in the Aviation category! That means I get a trophy :-)

I've put my winning pic as an extra. It's from the Croome blipmeet, and I really wouldn't have expected it to win any awards. Another judge would have criticised the HDR edit, but thankfully not this one.

In other news daughter#2 had a lovely weekend when some old work colleagues from Strasbourg came to visit her in Munich. Unfortunately now she has Covid, as does one of her friends. They have no idea who had it first, or whether they both got it at the same time. It just shows it is still out there. We've been doling lots more socialising lately, I hope we have still dodged it.

In other, others news I have fixed our (not so) smart shower. At the weekend it wouldn't turn off at the main control, though luckily we have a remote control (and an app!) that did switch it off. Before calling the manufacturer I thought I would just try a power off reset (it is a computer after all) so climbed up into the loft where the pump is and turned the main power off and on again. It now seems to be reset and working!
