Unfurling

So many ferns!  This is a Christmas Fern.  The old fronds stay green all winter but here comes the new ones.  
I crawled all along the cliffs of Devil's Den on Wrights Mountain yesterday.  So many spring ephemerals blossoming on the edge of the cliffs and top of the fallen rocks...too many to list.  
Devil's Den is full of caves.  The local lore is a disgraced preacher went to find redemption by living in the caves.  Wonder how that turned out?
Nesting Ravens gave me a good scolding for invading their territory.
