Torphichen Street School

Torphichen Street School building is actually at 24 Canning Street, two doors from Sunday morning yoga.   It was designed by Robert Wilson, architect to the Edinburgh School Board, in 1887 and has two fabulous turrets with cupolas.  The school was planned as an infant and juvenile school.  There was a separate boys and girls entrance!  It's now the Capital Business Centre, the home of several small businesses - I was based there myself for a few years.
