Woodpecker
I found this male Downy Woodpecker (Dryobates pubescens) among the brown reeds during my walk in the park. This bird was well hidden, and I heard his tapping long before I finally spotted him. This was the first time I have ever seen a woodpecker pecking on grass. It was hard to get a clear image of this bird because he did not stop moving the entire time I watched him.
