An easier day.

Two nature reserves and an open garden. All within five miles of our cottage so less driving.
One of the reserves on a wooded hillside had been the site on which millions of hand grenades were made in the first world war.Thankfully all signs of that have gone many years ago. It is now a woodland walk with Foxgloves and Yellow Flag and wonderful views.
My main blip shows Navelwort, also known as Wall Pennywort. I have seen it many times especially in this part of Wales. It is always growing out of slate and stone walls. Its name comes from the fact that the centre of its round leaves resembles a navel.
The garden we visited was full of Azelias, especially white ones, and Rhododendrons. There are some examples in extras.
