Blipmeet - Great Malvern, Worcestershire - Tuesday 24th May 2022 - please spread the word!

Exactly two weeks today on Tuesday 24th May, the P2P project team will be at Great Malvern Priory for the Diary of the war podcast series launch. We're really pleased with the number of registrations for the event so far, and hopeful that this will grow as the big day approaches.

Hazel spent much of yesterday sending press releases out to newspapers in the area, and has already heard back from the Malvern Gazette. It sounds like the launch event will be featured in the next edition of the paper, so this may well encourage more local people to sign up on our EventBrite page.

Amongst the attendees on 24th May will be a number of Lloyd family members. All are descendants (or partners of the descendants) of the people featured in photos blipped in the LornaL blipfoto journal, such as this one taken on a beach in Cornwall in 1932. However, although related, not all these people know one another. Hazel's latest idea is for anyone at the launch event who is related to Lorna should wear one of these home-made safety pin ribbon identifiers. (Meanwhile all the P2P team members will wear name badges.) This proposal will be up for discussion with Bruce at the weekly P2P project meeting tomorrow.
