J’s birthday today, D stayed over from yesterday so the three of us could celebrate. Woke to rain so a slow start, excellent croissant for breakfast then headed for Batsford Arboretum, part of a long arranged birthday plan, did not anticipate it being closed because of a power supply issue, the best laid plans, so headed for the town of Broadway, very quaint Cotswold town, spent a leisurely hour browsing the shops. Birthday lunch had long been booked a few miles out of Broadway and was worth the trip. Afterwards we headed for Broadway Tower a grand folly on the second highest point in the Cotswolds. The views were spectacular if a little hazy. I noticed a fellow snapper in silhouette setting up a shot of the view beyond the tower
