Vehicle Assembly Building: interior

The large circular structure on pillars is an engine jig for the first stage engines which were assembled within and above it: five engines for each launch vehicle.

This jig shows no sign of recent use or repair, although its condition is surprisingly good. I did not attempt to climb to the levels above it, however note the stairway to the right which gives a sense of scale.

The watchers were again always present. They seem somehow no longer hostile: they have, perhaps, accepted me, at least provisionally. I still have not encountered one directly but their concealment is clearly now, at least in part, a game we play with each other.
