The Enmore Theatre

The Enmore Theatre was opened in 1912. It is the longest running live theatre in Sydney, hosting all forms of performance, including Bob Dylan.

Built in the art deco style, Enmore Theatre is protected by heritage listing. Thank goodness, as so much of Sydney's art deco buildings have been razed but many remain in Newtown and Enmore, somehow saved from the wrecking ball in time.

The Enmore is the only theatre in Sydney from the art deco architectural movement in its original condition and I feel fortunate to have it in my local area. There's always something on at the Enmore!
