A Rainy Day at Last!

Finally, the arrival of some much needed rain in South-west England. Driving up the A38 with the windscreen wipers on seemed almost a novelty. The tops of the hills in East Devon remained obscured by clouds as the heavy rain gradually eased off. Now that almost all the trees are in leaf there are many shades of green. In the rain, beneath a heavy sky they seem to create a mood of intense depth and drama.
