Evening at lake Saimaa

I had so much fun , as I was able to go with a boat to lake Saimaa.  It was quite windy, but I have good clothing that can stop the wind, so it was not cold to be there. The ice cover was gone only few days ago. We had a mission to deliver some orienteering marks/flags to the shores of different islands at Saimaa for the upcoming Saimaa Challenge multisport adventure race´s canoeing leg. Few of my friends are organizing the event and I am going to take some photos from this years race on Saturday. Last year the race was held at July and it was sunny, +29 degrees and I think the water was above +20 degrees of celsius. This year it is going to be about +10 degrees and water near +4 and possible rain showers. Have to say lake Saimaa is a beautiful place to be, even in the spring time when there is not much leaves on the trees on the islands.
