The Cornish Alps?

I know, another photo of a smiling Andy on his bike, but today the background is the China Clay pyramids at St Austell. We awoke to pouring rain and strong winds, so spent the morning in the Wheal Martyn museum learning about the China clay industry, then by this afternoon it was fine enough to cycle a circuit of the Clay Trail. We both did some ecological work here as students nearly 50 years ago, trying to establish vegetation on the great pearl-white wastes of clay, and in a strange way we missed the white mountains, now mostly covered with trees and rhododendrons.
