Day trip to York...

Today I had an hour long meeting in York, so I had a choice. A ten hour drive to and from York, or get the train taking seven hours, but travel at specific times. Both mean I'd need to be out of the house for around 12 hours, but as the train works out cheaper for the company, my choice was easy.

It also meant I had to travel by first class, getting a complimentary full English and coffee, as well as exploiting the WiFi. Shame the return journey meant travelling with the masses and WiFi had failed and my seat wasn't reserved!

I had a few hours to kill after the meeting, so had a potter around York (even we had a family trip in York recently), got some lunch and a leisurely stroll to the station. Certainly more relaxing than jumping straight in the car and sitting on the M25!
