Waiting to be served!

This morning I spotted this pigeon waiting patiently for the fountain to be turned on so that he/she could have a refreshing drink.  I think it did get turned on eventually but it was such a miserable day with frequent showers that really it wasn't needed.
In other news:  we looked after Stella-Rose today as her mummy returned to work but S-R wasn't up to a day at nursery.  She was a hot, rather poorly and miserable baby until around midday, when she started to perk up and by the time she was taken home along with Violet at teatime, she was just about back to her normal cheery self.  It was reassuring to know that she can recover so swiftly.
