Bird of Paradise
The first time I came across these flowers was in January 1980, when dad brought me some back from Madeira. He'd been there on holiday so that he was away over Christmas after my mum died. They always remind me of him and make me smile. We had them on his coffin when he died which I think surprised people. Lovely to see them growing naturally.
The others are, a ladybird and some Eurydema Dominulous, or scarlet shieldbugs, I've never seen so many shieldbugs at once.
The extra is tonight's sunset from our hotel room looking over to the Taurus Mountains.
