Winter Kingfisher
An early frosty winter morning watching whispy mist still brooding over the glassy, still water of the pool. Peep, peep, peep and out of nowhere the majestic fisher appears in a nearby alder tree. A magical moment that gave me one shot, one shot before his majesty took his leave and left me hoping my settings were right. The temptation to zoom in with my 28-300 Nikkor was resisted and I settled for the moment. I chose not to edit and left the image just as I saw it, it transports me back to that precious moment each time I look at it.
