Phonecall
She rarely rings at 6pm so it surprised me when the phone went. She was ringing me now so that after prep she could get straight off to boarders swim. She had also been swimming yesterday. It's definitely a thing we love about the school. The pool is less than 5 minute walk from her house. It's a highlight of the week for her. She'd had 909s today, their enrichment programme. Her sports sweater suggests she was in the outdoor group today!
Musically, she's really enjoyed her day. Jazz ensemble has moved to Thursday mornings so she started the day with that. Saxophone quartet has returned to her timetable on a Thursday lunchtime. She was very pleased that jazz coming in the morning meant she could have her that after school practice slot back, though I'm not sure it occurred to her that it's basically been a straight swap of the EMP for ASP!
Anyway, happy girl. I must remember to amazon prime some batteries to her... The first thing she asked me on the phone. One can't have no batteries for ones fairy lights at boarding school.
