There she blows!

A local phenomenon occurred today. Fen Blow! The very dry land is battered by strong winds and it lifts the topsoil off the land creating what looks like black/brown fog. Behind this field of week old lambs you can see the 'Fen Blow'. Normally I can see for many miles across the fenland but not today. You wouldn't want to have laundry on the line! And my husband tells me that the sheep we have on the fen itself actually turned black. Several local roads disappear under a layer of very fine topsoil when this happens too.
