Busy day- or at least what counts for one when you’re retired!
Did a few quick tasks off my list this morning, then walk d up to Ns via the charity shop with the last of the culled books. N bought her project house about 3 months before I did and is in the middle of getting builders estimates for a huge renovation including demolishing about a third of the current property. I went round on Tuesday and I think he will be quoting for her. Had a nice long chat with her and of course a tour of the property! In terms of shape and layout it reminds me of my old property in MK, but it’s full of fake beams, swirly plaster and false ceilings. Not sure I would want to take it on but probably partly due to having lived through mine not that long ago!
Went home me for a quick lunch then went over to Su’s. It’s a pretty Victorian terrace but feels very small and dark at the moment. Hopefully that will get better once the myriad of boxes are unpacked. Not sure where she’ll put everything though! Stay d until about 6.30 when she decided she’d had enough for that day. Have to say it was nice getting back home, even though there is still lots to do. Here are samples for blind fabric pinned up at the window , in the hope that it will help me make a decision, ideally by tomorrow as I’m going to choose a new sofa!
