It's marmalade time
Three types of citrus I've saved up... and must really get onto this job before they are compost bound. There are mostly oranges, with sweet tangerines, and a couple of lemons. They can soak for 24 hours while I go shopping for sugar and more sugar.
And tomorrow is also the annual pick up of inexpensive native shrubs and trees from the NY Conservation Board. I requested pond/water-loving shrubs for the boggy side of my garden. I hope they remember what's on my list because all I can recall is Ninebark.
Getting older is so exciting when everyday is full of elemental discoveries... like where the car keys are hiding or the last cup of coffee got set.
I shall enjoy seeing what comes home for planting this weekend. AFTER the marmalade is jarred and shelved.
